We're back from our trip. It was good to get away and then good to be home. We borrowed Grandma's car for the drive which turned out to be pretty snowy for the first half. We went from Seattle to Missoula on hwy 90 via Spokane and Coeur d'Alene, and it was very snowy on Snoqualmie Pass just outside of Seattle and on Lookout Pass on the Idaho/Montana border. We hung around in Missoula for a couple of days. The University of Montana is there, which is a nice-looking campus. They take very good care of their buildings and grounds. The weather was mostly cold and dry, but with some snow (see hat).


On Wednesday of last week we drove to Moscow, Idaho. We took hwy 12 that way, over Lolo Pass, which was also the way that Lewis and Clark went. We're just like them. It was snowy at that pass too, but not snowing at the time we went over. We actually had good weather for our driving that day, and it was supposed to be nasty the following day. The drive through the forests and mountains in Idaho was really pretty. Moscow was not so great though. Spencer attended a conference there, so that's why we went, but the town wasn't very interesting. That town has the University of Idaho, which is not a nice-looking campus.

On Saturday we drove to Oregon. We went through Pullman and down through Walla Walla. I hadn't been over there before, either. On our drive we saw a badger!! That was pretty cool. It was crossing the road. It was carrying something in its mouth, and I think that was a baby badger. Other wildlife we saw on our trip were pheasants, a killdeer, actual deer, eagles, and osprey. We didn't see any bears though cuz they were still sleeping. It wasn't really spring over there yet.

We went to Chris and Mary's house. They'd invited us for Easter and my parents and grandma were going to be there too. It was nice to visit them. They're doing well, and Mae is a cute little chatterbox. Mom (Grandma) made her a new dress for Easter, which was adorable as well. Mae did an easter egg hunt and very much enjoyed the candy inside.


While we were there we also got Max back, and traded cars back with Grandma. And I was happy that we got to visit as well. Then back to Seattle. Traffic in Tacoma sucked, as it so often does. We're glad to be back and we both slept well last night. Max too, he didn't get out of bed for breakfast until 9 a.m. this morning.
