Hello! Things are going well here in Santa Fe. We're still adjusting a bit to our new habitat. Yesterday we learned about the heat in our house. We have radiant heat, which comes from the floor, and it goes slow. So you don't turn it on and off like we've done in all of our other houses. You leave it on, and it just stays constant. That's good. And it's cool that the heat comes from the floor, because that's really nice for Max Power.

We've learned some interesting things about Santa Fe. Wikipedia has been very helpful with that. One of the interesting things is that the original name of the town was La Villa Real de la Santa Fe de San Francisco de Asis, which means The Royal City of the Holy Faith of Saint Francis of Assisi. So there are St. Francis things everywhere. This is also an artist hangout, so there are pieces of art and sculptures and statues everywhere. And because of the St. Francis thing, many of the sculptures are of animals. So that's kinda cool. There are St. Francis statues everywhere too. This is the one on our patio, which has got to be the ugliest one there's ever been. He has a huge head and wee little arms, like a Tyrannosaurus:

Also, about cars and driving in Santa Fe, most of the stoplights are horizontal rather than vertical, and cars here don't have to have front license plates.

That's what I have to tell you about right now! It's cold and snowy today. I'm going to get to work now. Have a good day!

Nice blog m'lady!
I would like to say that when Neenie & I trekked over to the coast on Sunday, we saw these bits of wildlife:
1 deer
4 hawks
horses
cows
1000's of Canada Geese
5 cats
a dog
1 heron
1 egret
a herd of buffalo
1 old man w/garbage bag
sheep

it was like a wildlife safari!

Love you lots!! Papa Thomps
